Green Woodworking Course

Take part in a country craft session in our woodland workshop. Make simple items such as a beetle (mallet) and rolling pin using traditional techniques and tools. No previous experience necessary. Materials and tools provided.

Head Gardener Talk

Come for a presentation on Gatton’s Japanese garden by our Head Gardener, Dan Ryan. The talk will cover the history and restoration of the garden as well as future plans. Join Dan on a guided walk to the garden and learn about seasonal maintenance work and ongoing conservation projects. Tea and cake provided in Gatton Hall.

Basket-Making Course

A one-day basket-making course led by experienced under-woodsman, John Waller. Learn the basic weaves and make your own basket to take home. Materials and tools provided. Please bring a packed lunch with you.
